Back to BLR

After living in SF bay area for almost 10 years, I recently relocated back to India with family.It was a great experience and I loved USA for the freedom, the bountiful nature and all the intellectuals I met. Atleast 102% of people asked me why are you going back??? For the 2% percent who did not ask me why, I was compelled to ask myself and answer back since I was already used to:-)

The traffic is bad they said, you won't survive.Seriously, the peak traffic in bayarea on 101,280, central and lawrence expressyway was not easy. I was running my own personal freaky shortest time alg (of course in partnership with google and waymo)..I was ready to try it here earlier, you bet I am kidding now...At least metro and cabs are affordable here:-)

Oh it must be your Visa they said, no way I said ...we are fine for the next 300 years (owing to the crazy wait time taken to hand us out greencards, our H1B will be renewed forever and ever...high hopes must say!

You must buy a property here they said, its the best place to live with nature around you...No,sorry y'all I ain't got a million dollars to buy a small dog house I said!Look at the prices in the bay area!Just buy a big one far away and travel back and forth to work...Sorry, I ain't got that in me...I refused:-(

Good money for you, they said..oh yeah? Tell that to my future maid, driver and cook, I am going to try giving them one too back in India, I said:-)

The quality of life is fabulous they said!Beautiful cars, Big houses, Spacious roads, everything orderly! You will struggle there for your basic needs they said!

They didn't tell me, my family is gonna have my back when I needed them .When My Dr in USA didn't find out the cause for my pains, the Ayurvedic Dr I found in India practically resurrected me! I will have help with my son and I will not have to pre-schedule it:-) The desi food is fantabulous, no arguments! Heck, I will learn to drive a stick shift if needed and curse people if necessary but finally I do not feel like I need to be a certain way to just fit in Right:-)

I did not stay for the things I wanted, I left for the people I needed:-):-)
